The Pavilion Shopping Mall
In honour of Mandela Day some of the members of The Pav team visited the Bamba Izandla Crèche to support the Chesterville community with beds, chairs and tables for the kids while assisting with painting the walls.
The Pavilion Team also visited the Aryan Benevolent Home (ABH) in Chatsworth, a 98-year-old institution which provides service to over 1 000 people daily, from the elderly to the sick, orphaned and abused, the ABH goes a long way in assisting people from all walks of life. Like Madiba, their good work inspires us, which is why we decided to offer our succour in the hopes of making things that much easier. We donated 13 computers to their Chatsworth based home, which will be utilised by 110 children and provide them with valuable life skills. In addition to this, we painted and uplifted their IT room, in the hopes of fostering a more conducive learning environment. We then provided meals for the 110 kids and assisted in the garden. In-centre we then had a collection point at The Information Desk for any valuable items such as non-perishable food or new and used clothing for the ABH Winter Drive which was dropped off on the day. We understand that we can’t change the world overnight. What we can do, however, is make a small difference one step at a time.
