Tlhabane Square

Tlhabane Square is a mixed-use precinct development by the Public Investment Corporation SOC LTD. The precinct is earmarked to be a mixed-use development with functionality as required by the region. Four large anchor tenants and ancillary government offices will create activity throughout the development, ensuring that the heart of the square is activated.

Tlhabane Square will service the shopping needs and services consultation of all customers within the trade area by bringing a comprehensive and wide mix of retailers and government department and ensuring there is sufficient critical mass to keep all customers satisfied. This will include fashion, food, homeware, entertainment as well as a range of services including a police station, magistrate court, town hall, library, consulting rooms and government services.

It comprises of the following:

• Retail mall: 31 000sqm of GLA
• Offices: ±12 000sqm of GLA (this is to incorporate Home Affairs, SASSA, Labour Department and a Hotel with a conference facility)
• Ancillary Buildings: Police Station at 10 000sqm GLA
• New Magistrate Court: 8000sqm GLA
• Refurbishment of the existing service station
• New taxi drop-off, tyre fitment and traders market.

 


 

Jakaranda Shopping Centre

The Jakaranda Shopping Centre situated in Rietfontein, Pretoria is currently under redevelopment. The redevelopment of Jakaranda comes from a need to re-establish the Centre as a Centre of Convenience, that has roots within the community while adding a fresh modernized look and feel. The vision for the Centre is focused on re-establishing Jakaranda Shopping Centre as the “Trusted Retail Centre of Choice” in the Rietfontein Community and its surroundings.

On completion, the redevelopment total GLA will stand at an estimated 22 000m2, with the addition of a New Entrance off 18th Avenue, New Gym, and a New Food Court. These elements are just some of the additions planned, all with a key objective of making the Centre more accessible in terms of pedestrian and traffic flow.
